Madeline Andriesen

Madeline Andriesen, soprano, recently graduated from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music with a Master’s of Music in Vocal Arts and Opera. She holds a dual degree Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). Growing up in Haines, Alaska, Andriesen sang in multiple musical groups and honor choirs. Through her time at UAF she competed and performed in vocal competitions and ensembles as a soloist including the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, Anchorage Concert Chorus Vocal Scholarship Competition, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra, Choir of the North, Ensemble 64POINT8, and various other ensembles. Most recently, Andriesen performed roles with the Austrian American Mozart Academy, Thornton Opera, Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, and Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. Andriesen has a passion for teaching and helping students of all ages discover their voice, overcome stage fright, and build confidence in their vocal talents. She believes singing is a skill that can be learned at any age, and is dedicated to helping her students to express themselves through various genres including classical, musical theater, pop, and bluegrass.
