Andrés Rodriguez received his Bachelor of Music with a concentration in classical guitar performance from Sam Houston State University where he studied under Alejandro Montiel. He is passionate about classical guitar and mariachi music, and is currently a member of Mariachi del Bosque. With the mariachi, he has performed throughout the greater Houston area, Austin, and in Conroe/Huntsville. He also had the opportunity to perform as a guest artist with the group WindSync and as a pit musician in a production of High School Musical at the Woodlands Christian Academy. Andrés hopes his students are able to use music as an outlet for self-expression, hopes that they come to enjoy playing guitar as much as he does, and most of all learn and have fun.
