Bridges Academy is dedicated to bringing quality instruction to area schools with little or no music program.

Currently, the Bridges Outreach program sends early childhood music teachers to Yellowstone Academy, a school for underprivileged children in Houston’s 3rd Ward. Our teachers sing and play with the preschool classes at Yellowstone, bringing the curriculum and philosophy of St. Luke’s SongPlay! program to their classrooms. During these weekly visits, the children experience the delight of music and movement, the consistency of a positive mentor relationship, and also receive important lessons in literacy, motivation, delayed gratification, respect, focus, and more.
